Rubber gaskets are sheet-shaped rubber products that seal between two stationary surfaces of metal flanges or other connecting parts, collectively referred to as rubber gaskets. It can be manufactured by molding method, and can also be processed by vulcanized film. It can be widely used in all kinds of mechanical equipment, playing the role of lining, sealing, buffering and so on.
Oil resistance is a very important characteristic of rubber materials. In many cases, rubber gaskets need to be used in environments with various oily media. Oil resistance is an important parameter of rubber gaskets, but the oil resistance of various rubber materials The skills are also different, which will be introduced in detail below.
Fuel resistance:
Fluoroelastomer and fluorosilicone rubber have the best resistance to fuel oil. Neoprene and chlorinated polyethylene rubbers have the worst fuel resistance.
The fuel resistance of NBR increases with the increase of acrylonitrile content. The fuel resistance of chlorohydrin rubber is better than that of butadiene rubber.
Resistance to mixed fuel oil: Fluorosilicone rubber and fluororubber have the best resistance to mixed fuel oil. Acrylic rubber has the least resistance to mixed fuels.
